By using our services, you agree to abide by these Terms, so please read them carefully. If you don't agree, you shouldn't use LeanPivot.ai.
1. Using Our Service
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country) to use LeanPivot.ai. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide during signup is accurate and truthful.
Account Security
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Please use a strong password and keep it safe. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account, let us know immediately. We are not liable for any loss or damage from your failure to secure your account.
Acceptable Use
LeanPivot.ai is here to help you build your startup, so we ask that you use it responsibly. You agree not to misuse our services. This means you will not:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations while using PivotPal or other features.
- Attempt to hack, overload, or disrupt the platform (no DDOS, malware, or reverse engineering our software).
- Upload or input content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on anyone's rights. For example, no hate speech, harassment, intellectual property infringement, or confidential data that you don't have permission to use.
- Use PivotPal to generate spam, misleading information, or any content intended for malicious purposes.
- Attempt to bypass any usage limits or security features we've put in place.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these rules or otherwise harm the integrity of the service or its users.
2. Subscription and Fees
Plans and Billing
LeanPivot.ai offers free and paid subscription plans (see our Pricing page for details). If you sign up for a paid plan, you agree to pay the fees indicated for that plan. Payments will be charged on a periodic basis (e.g., monthly or annually) as per the plan terms, and will auto-renew until you cancel. All fees are in USD (unless otherwise specified) and are non-refundable except as required by law.
Free Trials
If you start with a free trial, you'll get access to paid features for a limited time. Once the trial ends, if you haven't chosen a paid plan, your account may revert to a free feature-limited version. To avoid interruption, choose a plan before the trial ends. We'll remind you via email when your trial is nearing its end.
Upgrades and Downgrades
You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time. If you upgrade, the new rate may apply immediately or pro-rated (we'll let you know the specifics during the process). If you downgrade, you might lose access to some features from the higher tier, and any future charges will reflect the lower rate.
Late Payments
If a payment fails (e.g., your credit card expires), we'll notify you. Please update your payment info promptly. If fees remain unpaid, we may suspend your account after a grace period. You are responsible for any applicable taxes or bank fees associated with your subscription.
3. Intellectual Property
Our Content
LeanPivot.ai (and its underlying software, algorithms, and content) is owned by us (LeanPivot Inc. and its licensors) and protected by intellectual property laws. This includes the PivotPal AI prompts, the design of the platform, logos, and any text or materials we provide. You agree not to copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our permission.
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the platform - like the descriptions of your business ideas, chat messages, or any documents you upload. We do not claim ownership of your ideas or the output PivotPal generates for you. However, by using our service, you grant us the right to use your content as needed to operate and improve the service (for example, we might process your inputs to generate responses or backup your data on our servers). Rest assured, we won't share your confidential business ideas with other users or the public without your consent.
AI-Generated Content
The answers, drafts, or suggestions PivotPal provides are generated by AI based on the information you give. You are free to use this AI-generated content for your personal or commercial purposes (after all, it's here to help your startup!). We simply advise that you review and refine it as needed, since AI might not always get things perfect.
4. Disclaimer of Advice
LeanPivot.ai and PivotPal provide information and guidance based on principles of the lean startup methodology and general business best practices. However, any suggestions or output from the AI should not be considered professional advice (legal, financial, or otherwise). Always use your best judgment and consider consulting professionals when making significant business decisions. We strive to offer valuable insights, but we cannot guarantee outcomes - building a startup involves many factors beyond our control.
5. Warranty Disclaimer
We provide LeanPivot.ai to you "as is" and "as available". While we aim for excellence, we make no warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your specific needs. For example, we do not guarantee that using PivotPal will result in funding, market success, or any particular outcome for your startup. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event will LeanPivot.ai (or its founders, employees, partners, or affiliates) be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, or special damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, business interruption, or loss of data, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the past six months for that service (or $100, if you haven't had any paid subscriptions), whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you - but our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.
7. Termination
You're free to stop using LeanPivot.ai at any time. Likewise, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if we have reason to believe you've violated these Terms, or for any other reason in our sole discretion (for example, if required by law or if we discontinue the service). If your account is terminated (by you or us), you may lose access to content or data provided through the platform, and we may delete your information (in accordance with our Privacy Policy).
